Qualifications & Eligibility

ABVFCU’s field of membership is open to persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in and business and other legal entities located in the following municipalities within Providence County, RI: Town of Burrillville; City of Central Falls; Town of Cumberland; City of East Providence; Town of Lincoln; Town of North Providence; City of Pawtucket; Town of North Smithfield; or City of Providence

Additionally, eligibility is extended to spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of ABVFCU, employees of ABVFCU; members of their immediate family or household and organizations of such persons.

How To Join

To become a member, a qualified individual must, at minimum, open a Share Account with an initial deposit of $5.00. 

In accordance with the US Patriot Act individuals or businesses requesting membership at ABVFCU must provide two forms of documentary evidence to verify their identity, and a Social Security Card. 

Acceptable individual documentary evidence includes: valid government issued identification that evidences nationality or residence, a valid driver’s license, a Social Security Card, a valid Credit Card, or a utility bill printed with the individual’s name and address. Acceptable documentary evidence for companies, partnerships, trusts, or other non-individual entities, includes: registered Article of Incorporation, government issued business license, partnership agreement, or trust agreement. Documentary evidence for the principal(s) of the non-individual entity will also be acceptable.

New members are welcome to join at the ABVFCU building located at 594 Central Ave., Pawtucket, RI during regular hours of operation.
